I’ve been quietly cooking up a big update, and now I’m thrilled to share Delta Duo v2.5 with you! In v2.5, I'm taking ideas and elements from NT Flip and Duo NX, and incorporating them into Duo! This update is full of thoughtful refinements, playful new touches, and (of course!) some sweet new Special and Transparent Editions.

No more accidental Quick Loads!

Ever accidentally tapped Quick Load and been sent back in time? Yeah, me too! In v2.5, the Quick Save and Quick Load buttons now work like thumbsticks; just tap and slide to activate! It’s a simple, safe solution to the issue, especially handy on Duo XL where controls are packed around the touch screen. The best part is that they only activate when you tap directly on them first, so dragging over them from the touch screen is safe, too!

✨ Buttons that match your game!

Say goodbye to bright side buttons during darker scenes. Just like Delta Duo NX, your on-screen controls now adapt to the game’s brightness and color! It’s subtle, immersive, and feels delightfully alive. I played with the tuning quite a lot, and I hope you’ll love the result!

Lighter, leaner, and loaded with more skins

The entire Delta Duo collection dropped from 402.2 MB down to a tidy 267.9 MB—while growing from 113 to 125 skins! Every asset is optimized for a balance of visual crispness and small file size. Your Dropbox just breathed a sigh of relief! This is totally just inside knowledge, but I also streamlined my workflow so changes are easier to implement, test, and package than ever before! The whole process goes from 20 minutes to less than 30 seconds!

Refreshed and new Special Editions

I’ve also refreshed many Editions to embrace a cleaner, minimal aesthetic. Many editions now align closer with Duo NX, and by moving away from game-specific references, each skin is now ready to pair with any title in your collection!

Delta Duo+ adds favorites: Goo, Princess, Silver, and Gold from Duo NX.

And Transparent Edition welcomes: Atomic Purple, Voltage Yellow, Glacier, Shadow Ball, Stranded, and PAL Frosted!

💎 Transparent Editions get a realistic upgrade

Transparent Editions feature a new material with a textured blur, like looking through actual clear plastic! This touch makes these Editions even more crisp and delightfully realistic. While it's a small detail, the Transparent Editions are a mountain of small details; it all adds up!

🎮 Duo XL gets a Thumbstick!

You’ve asked, and I’m here to deliver! Duo XL now has a thumbstick and D-Pad in landscape mode! I feel like this really helps differentiate Duo XL, and adds versatility without having to add two more skins to each edition! If you prefer the classic D-Pad layout, just assign the standard Duo version of the skin for landscape instead!

Like Duo NX, the thumb cap on most editions is white, but the Aluminium Editions have color-matched caps.

And some Special Editions, like Stranded, Neue Black, Dolphin and DP–12, have caps that match their theme.
